Messed up priorities
At least that is the opinion of Christine the Curmudgeon, in this case. Behold: A cash-strapped couple are paying for their dream wedding – by starring in porn films.
Now, I’m no prude, if people want to do these kinds of movies, that is their right. But it seems to me that this couple’s priorities are wickedly screwed up.
First of all, WHY did they have to go ahead and have four children together, before getting married? Children cost a lot of money. They need food, shelter, clothing, school supplies, medical care…okay, scratch medical care, these people are in the U.K., where they don’t have to pay for health care. But still, kids need a lot of other stuff that costs money, and having four of them has to be very expensive. Why couldn’t this couple have waited to have kids until after they got married? Then they probably would have had the money to pay for the nice wedding they wanted. Then, after the wedding, they could have tried to find some form of steady work that would pay well enough to support a family…maybe looking to buy into a proven franchise opportunity or something.
But what is more disturbing to me is the ribbing that these children are going to go through at school, because their parents are porn stars. I mean, this couple’s names and picture were in the paper…and one that is known as a sleazy tabloid, to boot. Maybe the couple finds it humorous, but what about their kids? What gives these people the right to do stuff that might make their kids be made fun of at school and on the playground? I think they are selfish, all they care about is their stupid expensive beach wedding, and not the feelings and well-being of their children.
Something really odd is that these people do not look anything like porn stars. She played a lingerie model? Sorry, but I just don’t see their porn DVDs being appealing to the sort of people who like to view such material, if you know what I mean. Who is buying them?
These people should just get married in City Hall, or whatever, save their money over the years, and do a nice anniversary vow renewal on that Mexican beach. Just my opinion!
