Why should WE have to pay for this?

Christine the Curmudgeon is VERY sick of this person: Transgender Inmate Renews Electrolysis Request.

This person was convicted of murdering his wife back in 1990, and is serving a life sentence in prison.  Somewhere along the line, HE decided that he’s actually a SHE, and began suing the state of Massachusetts to get them to pay for hair removal, psychotherapy, hormone therapy, and sex-change surgery.  She got pretty much everything paid for, by the fine taxpayers of Massachusetts, but the actual sex-change surgery.

Well, now she’s whining that she needs electrolysis to get rid of what is left of her facial hair.

Now, I have absolutely nothing against transgender people.  But why should this person, a CONVICTED MURDERER, get these treatments for free, when hard-working people on the outside can’t afford it?  I’m sure this is something that Blue Advantage and other insurance plans don’t cover.

Prisoners do have the right to basic health care.  If they have diabetes, for example, they are entitled to insulin and whatever else is needed to manage their condition.  Only these would have to be administered by a nurse at the prison infirmary,  as no doubt they wouldn’t be allowed to have their own needles, meds, and stuff in their cells.

The state has already paid for more gender re-assignment stuff than this person deserves.  Enough is enough!
