What part of 21+ do some people refuse to understand?

It’s that time of the year again…almost time for the Maine Brewers Festival.  Christine the Curmudgeon and The Mister have been going to this every year (except for 2006), since 2002.

This event is strictly for those who are 21 and older.  It says so all over the place…on the website, on the tickets, in the signage at the door.  Festival-goers must show ID before being granted entrance.

But, year after year, we see people who try to get in with babies in those backpack things.  It’s kind of entertaining to hear them whine and plead and beg to be allowed in, only to be turned away.

Trust me, this is no place for kids and babies, it’s not like going to Wally-World to shop for coffee makers, or something like that.  This is a loud, crowded event, people are drinking, and the music is loud.  Absolutely NOTHING there for the kids, and the loud music is probably bad for a small baby’s ears.

I hear that both sessions of the Maine Brewers Festival are sold out.  But if you missed out, and still want to go, just show up at the Portland Expo and hang around outside the door.  Just wait, some dumbass will try to get in with minor children in tow, and will be turned away.  That is when you can step in and offer to buy their tickets!

See, now everyone wins!
