Lazy jerks!

Here’s the latest entry in Christine the Curmudgeon’s Hall of Shame Gallery.  The local Stop & Shop parking lot seems to be great fodder for such pics.  Once again, we have a series of lazy jerks who were too lazy to take their carts to the nearby cart corral; rather, they preferred to leave them in handicapped parking spaces.

And YES, those striped areas next to the handicapped spaces ARE part of the spaces; they are there in case someone in a wheelchair needs to get in and out of a van.  The ramps in these specially-equipped vans require the extra space.  So no, jerks, it is NOT there for you to leave carts in.

It was busy and they were having a great sale at the store. But it was also a beautiful day; not raining, not too hot.  So it should not have been a problem for these able-bodied people to not leave their carts in the handicapped spaces.

Lazy jerks!

The striped area is for asshole parking

This latest Hall of Shame photo was taken a couple of weeks ago at the local Stop & Shop.  Yes, the car was actually parked like that, no one was in it.  There were plenty of legal spaces that were not too far away, but I guess some people are just lazy.

Serious Lazitude at Stop & Shop

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

It’s been a while since there have been any new pictures posted to Christine the Curmudgeon’s Hall of Shame Gallery.  Well, here’s one now.  It should be pretty much self-explanatory as to why it belongs in the Hall of Shame Gallery.

How much lazier can anyone be?  I didn’t see who left that cart there like that, but I bet it was someone who could seriously use the exercise, and maybe even the best diet supplement. And because of this jerk’s lazitude, not one, but TWO parking spaces at the very busy Stop & Shop were blocked.

Today I became the mayor of this particular Stop & Shop on foursquare.  My first official duty as mayor was to move that cart to the corral where it belonged, right after taking this picture.

It also irks me when I see people getting out of their cars, walking right past empty carts that are parked like this, and then take a cart from inside the store.  You’re walking right past it, anyway, how hard is it to take one of these carts into the store and use it?  That’s what I do, when I see them!  In this case, I saw this when I was coming out of the store, after I’d put my own cart into the corral.

Even worse is anyone who leaves a cart in a handicapped space.  You can see a serious example of this HERE.

Animal Abuse

dogintruck

Yeah, another one that’s hard to see, but Christine the Curmudgeon does not have the world’s best camera phone.

This picture was taken this past Thursday, on I-93 south, around Woburn, MA, a rather scary highway even when it’s not mobbed with rush hour traffic.  This jerkwad was driving around with a big dog in the bed of the pickup truck.  The dog was jumping around a lot (wish I’d been able to take some video), I was afraid he’d fall out of the truck and get killed on the highway.

I think that this is a form of animal abuse.  If the driver of the truck transports the dog often, maybe they should not have a pickup at all, maybe an SUV with enough room for the dog in the back.  Or, how about a cap for the pickup?  You can open the windows on pickup caps, so that the dog can get air.  It’s almost like being in the back of an SUV.

Or maybe just get a big crate for the dog, and make sure it is properly strapped down somehow in the bed of the truck?  I KNOW they make safe crates for big dogs!

I mean, what if this were your kid?  Would you just plop the kid in a Bob stroller, and then go out jogging with the kid in the stroller, without fastening the safety belts?  Of course you wouldn’t!  So why would anyone do this to a dog, drive on a scary highway, with the dog loose in the back like that?

People can be so screwed up.  I just hope that doggie got to where he was goig okay!

Stupid neighbor from The House of Skeeve

bluecar

This is the scenario that Christine the Curmudgeon was talking about in this post.  The blue car is the jerk in question here, the other car is ours.  Notice how far away she is parked from the fence, and crooked, too.  And notice how close I had to shoehorn in, I had to so that the landladies would ahve room to park on the other side of our car.  There is no way for either of us to open the passenger side doors.

The green house, by the way, is the infamous House of Skeeve, and where this bimbo lives.  WHY did that house finally have to be sold and rented out?  It was SO nice around here when it stood empty!
